Hi, I'm Jasmine (they/them).
I'm a digital creator, writer, and researcher currently studying Digital and Interactive Storytelling at the University of Westminster in London.
My creative and journalistic work is generally focused on mental illness, marginalised identity issues, urban space, and internet culture.
In academia, I'm focused on media psychology, more specifically how representations of mental illness, race, and queerness impact real-life perceptions and empathy for marginalised people.
I'm a jack-of-all-trades and an intentional master of none. I believe the best way to learn a new tool or method of creative practice is to get a project brief and a deadline, and I'm always looking to try new things.
Previous to moving to London for my MA, I studied journalism at Northeastern University in Boston. I also took classes in psychology, media studies, German, Russian, graphic design, and international affairs because I am a person of many interests :)
Thanks for checking out my work, and feel free to reach out if you want to chat.
