This case study explores how Unquiet Voices, a multimedia participatory documentary project, uses strategic UI/UX decisions to encourage participation on its website. The project is focused on female survivors of domestic violence in Romania, so the content is quite sensitive, yet the creators have been very successful in recruiting participants to submit their own audio.
